Plantroom Cooling

Data center cooling in plant rooms refers to the practice of locating the cooling equipment and infrastructure within dedicated plant rooms within the data center facility. These plant rooms house various cooling components such as chillers, pumps, and cooling towers, which are responsible for generating and distributing cool air to the data center space. By centralizing the cooling infrastructure, data center operators can efficiently manage and maintain the cooling systems.

Plant room cooling offers several advantages, including better control over airflow, scalability, and easier maintenance access. Furthermore, locating the cooling equipment in plant rooms helps to minimize noise and heat within the data center area itself, creating a more comfortable and controlled environment for the IT equipment.
