Supporting Innovation with Reliable Power Solutions
Ensuring continuous operations is essential in clinical research, where precision and data integrity drive meaningful advancements in healthcare. Uninterrupted power is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and protecting sensitive equipment. Prove Clinical laboratories, a leading central laboratory in clinical research with offices and a large laboratory in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, required a strategic and carefully executed relocation to its new facility in Macquarie Park. With critical infrastructure supporting specialised sample testing, any downtime or power loss could have significant financial and reputational consequences.

Relocating Critical Infrastructure Without Downtime
Prove Clinical’s existing facility housed essential power and backup infrastructure, including:
- Eaton 93PS 30kVA UPS
- External bypass and surge filter
- Himoinsa Diesel Generator
- ASCO Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
The relocation posed a unique challenge: safely transferring and reconfiguring critical systems while ensuring that Prove Clinical’s new facility was fully operational before staff and equipment moved in. Additionally, the old Woolloomooloo site required full decommissioning, including the responsible disposal of redundant infrastructure.
Treske, in collaboration with its sister company Ecogreen electrical, was engaged to handle the removal, transportation, and reinstallation of Prove Clinical’s key power infrastructure while ensuring seamless operations throughout the process.
Delivering a Tailored Transition Plan
With years of experience in critical infrastructure projects, Treske and Ecogreen developed a structured plan to minimise risk and ensure a smooth transition. The scope included:
- Safe removal and transport of the 30kVA UPS system and associated equipment
- Installation of an external battery cabinet to provide two hours of autonomy at the new site
- Reinstallation and commissioning of all critical infrastructure at the Macquarie Park facility
A Seamless Move, On Time and On Budget
Thanks to meticulous planning and expert execution, the relocation was completed on schedule and within budget. Prove Clinical’s new facility was fully operational before staff relocation, ensuring minimal downtime and uninterrupted research activities.
Treske and Ecogreen’s coordinated approach provided Prove Clinical with a future-ready infrastructure setup, allowing them to focus on their core mission without interruption.
